Graduation is May 25th at 6:30 in the New Gym

Elementary Awards Day is May 23rd at 8:30 in the Old Gym.

Athletic Banquet is May 21st at 6:30 in the Lunchroom.

A K-3rd grade program is May 9th at 9:00am in the Old Gym.

   Waterloo High School would like to thank everyone for their support of our $100 steak dinner fundraiser. Your help is vital to the continuation of our athletics programs. Our Grand Prize winner this year was Mr. Quinton Hansen. Mr. Hansen announced that for every dollar that the school raises over the next few weeks he will match that amount $2 for each $1 raised up to the $4000 he won as our grand prize recipient. Anyone who wishes to donate to the school athletics programs to help us try to earn that $4000 back may contact the school at 256-766-3100. Thank you Mr. Hansen for your generous offer!!!

Mr. and Mrs. WHS for 2011-2011 are Mr. Cody Holloway and Miss Katie Weston. Other members of the court include Meagan Overholser, Ashley Sharp, Morgan Parker, Lyndsay Warren, and Austin Herban.

Spring Football is here!!

Spring Jamboree is May 17th at Central vs. Lexington and Wilson. Time to be announced later.

Congratulations to Miss Meagan Wilkerson. Meagan represented Waterloo very well at the Shoals Scholar Banquet. Although Meagan was not selected as the overall winner, she is to be commended on being selected to this very high honor. As a member of the Shoals Scholar Program Meagan will be eligible to recieve a 2 year scholarship to Shoals Community College if she maintains her high average! Congratulations Meagan!! We are all very proud of you!

Recently Waterloo High School was visited by Mr. Jerry Fulmer and Mr. Tim Tubbs from the county office and was presented with a check for over $6000 as part of the agreement made through the efforts of the Green Team and our school to conserve energy use. The energy saving practices implemented at our school through this TVA sponsored program saved our school over $12,000 in energy savings. The school received 50% of those savings back to be used in our school. We currently are getting wi-fi installed throughout the school to use with our computers and new more energy efficient lighting is being purchased with these new funds!

May is here!! That means it will not be long before exams are here again! Students....remember to stay focused! There is a light at the end of the tunnel! Exams are May 23 and 24th. It's a busy time of year and there are plenty of things going on around school. Keep up your grades and remember to keep up with your books! The money saved from not having to purchase more textbooks means more money to be spent on other items our school needs.
